is there a difference between the sport package and a m-sport package? is there such a thing as "m-sport"? im considering trading my 530i nonsport in for a 08 535xi sport. there are no pics on the dealer website and i cant see whether or not it has the "M" style nose. it lists the vehicle as "sport package" does that mean it has the "M" body? thanx

so it looks like, according to the info below, the 08 has different codes for their packages then 2010. in the 08 packages the sport package (ZSP) has aero package, which is what im looking for, and in the 2010 packages listed above there is a differnece btwn the ZSP and ZMP. the listing on the dealer site notes ZSP so i should be ok. im gonna speak to a rep before making the trip but ill have to wait till tomorrow.

Also... You are showing the 2008 sport package info but that does not apply to the xi. The xi has fewer sport items. For example, it does not have an alternate suspension or roll control, etc

Yup - the "Sport Package" for xi is basically wheels, "trim" and appearance items vs trim + suspension and other features for RWD BMWs ...

2008 ordering/spec pdf:

***2008 models, the 550i sport pkg came with the M-tech kit/M-sport trim, all other model sport packages for this MY did not have the M-sport items.

with 2010 models, the M-sport pkg became available for all e60 models (ZMP), ordering/spec sheet:

http://www.5series.n...tion_Sheets.pdf

IIRC: XI sport packages are purely cosmetic (shadow line trim, sport steering wheel, contoured seats), no ARS or sport suspension...
