I remember JDN from the early days on Roadfly when we were discussing and anticipating the e60 launch and our 1st e60s...I remember clear and kind words from JDN. My condolences and best wishes. Rest in Peace JDN.

My wife and I are truly saddened by Jim's pass.

I have known him along with several others from almost the beginning of this forum and had the honor to meet him and his wife Barbara in Dallas in Sep 2004, just before I took delivery of my 545i.

First contact with Jim was HERE and HERE

Jim never allowed anyone to drive his car, but gave me the privilege to drive his 545i without a second thought because I was curious to try the SMG.

We had a fun time out in Dallas visiting a barbecue joint right next to a BMW dealer..hehe...Jim thought of everything.
Here's a pic of Jim, Barbara and my wife when we arrived there :

Jim's 545i in front of the hotel - after the girls went to sleep, Jim and I talked for hours about the E60 and life in general...great guy !

...and the thread all about it HERE (it's really entertaining !)

Jim was the guy to get me started with REJEXing my car as he was an avid user himself. He gave me his own Rejex bottle out of the car before we said goodbye in Dallas, I still have that bottle with me today sitting in my garage > I stopped using it some time ago to keep it as a kind of personal memory from Jim > thanks buddy !

There is not much else I can say as my regards for this guy goes beyond words - except that when you have an oppurtunity to go to a meet or meet someone from the forum - just do it : I have some of my best friends today from this very forum..

we'll miss you Jim !

Wow Andy. That was pretty amazing. I have to admit that I'm a little choked up as I just finished reading that. I too, remember when Jim got me involved with Rejex. It was one of my first few posts and it happened to be about detailing the car. He told me to try Rejex. Although I now use Zaino, I still have a bunch of Rejex bottles in my garage. I think I will be using Rejex instead of Zaino, as my next detail job in honor of JDN. We'll miss you JDN!
