PS just had my e60 remapped today, a lot more torque, it goes like.........WELL ITS WICKED. the E60 SEEMS TO NOW SEEMS TO BE THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE see what my mpg is now and will report back

Somehow my subscription to this topic was deleted so I hadn't seen this topic for a while.
@parmblagan; good the remapping turned out great. I am still thinking of doing the same to my 525D.
In my case the dealer swapped the thermostat which didn't solve the problem of the engine not getting to full operating temp. My suggestion that it could be the EGR thermostat was not taken to seriously so I decided do swap this one myself. Only takes EUR 30 parts and 1/2 hours total to do the job.
Now the car quickly heats up to about 90 - 95 degrees C. Haven't had any chance te see what this did to the MPG.
