Hey guys, Im new here and just bought my first BMW last week! Absolutely love it! The only Issue I'm having is with a P0012 and P0015 code. From some of the threads I've read I decided to start by changing the oil (Royal Purple 5-30) and replacing both Vanos solenoids. No luck. Still got the codes with the ses light. It will clear and stay off for a day but it will sort of stumble after a few hours when it goes to idle when coming to a stop and that will set off the ses. It runs fine after a couple seconds but the ses will still be on. Just wondering where to go from here. Thinking of moving to the camshaft sensor? Just to clarify, it is a 2007 530xi with approx 120000 miles. Any insight would be greatly appreciated as I'm new to the brand but after owning this car for a week, I'm hooked! Thanks guys!

Think my next step will be to replace the sensors. My confidence is not high that it's the problem but, I'd hate to replace the head only to have the code come back![Barf](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/barf.gif)
My benltly should be here tomorrow along with my scanner so maybe that will give me some answers. Anyone know where I can find a remand cyl head? Probably to a new chain and tensioner while I'm there.
