Thank you for all your help!!! I was also surprised by that comment in TIS. I will try to start my car today. See what happens ;-)

good to hear!

I have to do both of mine...i hope to get it done in one day.

Just wondering, did you change the spark plug tubes or the seal for the servo motor?

Yes. I changed spark plug tubes and the seal for servo.

Let me know how did it go.

Just be careful with eccentric shaft sensor. It is $400 and very easy to damage.

Havent done them yet. I have to order the parts. Where is the sensor? Are you talking about the actual servo motor? Or the cam sensor itself? Are there any other seals you needed to do the job?

You will need following gaskets:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...21&hg=11&fg=15

2x 11127518420
4x 12141748398
1x 11127513194
1x 11127513195

That should be all.

This is the sensor I am talking about. It is in the back at the firewall. You will find 3 sensors there (on each side -> from the top)

1. Eccentric shaft sensor (there is brown\gold gasket around it)
2. Camshaft intake
3. Camshaft exhaust

This just reinforces my thought that you never own a BMW out of warranty! Let the dealer futz around under there!
