Wow looks amazing, what are you using to hang the detector up there or is it the oem suction cup device?

It's the original suction cup mount that came with the Valentine One unit. Thanks for the compliment.

So you've mounted your old Escort in the tint spot? Has that affected its effectiveness you think?

I just did this, only I wasn't that gentle with the A-pillar trim. Now my airbag light is on; will investigate when I have time.

I'm using the visor clip, as my car has the comfort glass windshield. It appears to block radar except through the small opening near the mirror. The V1 doesn't false nearly as often as in other cars, and most signals are reported as coming from behind. Long term solution will be a remote mount radar detector such as the Escort 9500ci.

I finally got around to doing this. However, i found that there is a pretty big space between the headliner and the window, so the wire won't stay in by itself. I rolled up some small wads of paper to shove in there to keep it in place. VKHong, did you have any problems with that?

The space is quite snug. I actually dropped my headliner partially by removing the passenger-side sun-visor, so there was plenty of room to tuck the flat cable in. After I re-installed the sun-visor, the flat cable stayed in place inside the headliner.

Hmmm, now as I recall, my Carfax indicated that the dealer had replaced the sunroof glass for the 2nd owner. I wonder if they somehow shifted the headliner when that was done... Anyway, my solution works for now. Thanks for all your guidance on this!
