My car will be unload from the train today (Friday), trucked to the dealership either tomorrow (Saturday) or Tuesday (holiday in Canada on Monday). Do you think I will be getting v16x or v17? I'd place money on v16x but would love to get v17!

Due to the period of transportation I would bet on 16.2 or 16.3.

Really, expect some upgrades after 17. X so you will never be missing something too

I am not sure, but this Voice Recognition programming could be CCC version dependant.

Both FlowerFred and I got new CCC hardware part releases after some Softwarupgrade crashes. I also bet that when you have an all dutch system, the VR can be coded in German only. although all dustch cars have probably NL, D, GB or is it NL, F, GB ? Latter makes more sense for Flemish.

BTW you last version was 15.2 not 16.2. right ?

The dealer in Calgary just received CIP 17.0 but have not installed it on their computers as yet. I'm would anticipate your dealer will upgrade it for you next week if you ask.

My service manager said he expects v17 in a couple of weeks. I think its already in some dealers. Dealer on east coast and west coast might have it already.

We had our gearbox and converter changed by BMW (for free) because we had some strange sounds in the gearbox during heavy accelration...

Sounds nice with the new CIP 17.0 - our E60 are going in for service in juni, and will then be upgraded with the new software
