I am very soon going to put my order in for a MY2005 525i and really want that M sport package but I have yet to hear that this is going to be available here, my dealership said he has no word of this and in his system it doesn't show this package. Any idea of when this can be officially ordered?

The "M" and the "Sport Package" are two different things. The sport package was and is available since 2004 in any 5 series. The M package or M5 will not be out for another year here.

 

Are you sure we can't start to order the package until next year, is that confirmed?

It's not confirmed. I don't think you can get the M package before the M5 comes out, When BMW did it for the E39 you could only get it on the 540, so I think you would need a 545 in order to get the package.

Ask your dealer about option SA337.

 

Isn't the M sport package that he's asking about differ from the M5?

 

I think the only difference is that the sports package doesnt't have the M-mirrors and no side vents.
