I got the normal/standard sound system... (the poor one) - Busness Nav

Is it possible and practical to upgrade it to L7 ?
and does the L7 system play mp3 ?

need you comments and suggestions guys plz...

logic 7 is not available as a retrofit, not possible to do it........

And the standard system isn't 'poor'. And while L7 sounds great also, I wouldn't drop $1800/USD on it.

Here's an e-mail from a friend who just picked up his E60 on March 10...he is still in Germany driving it around. Notice the only word that's all CAPS:

wow...Let's just say i wish i went on the dinglfing (sp) tour as well. The Munich factory was awesome and got to see a Z8 as well as the Formula1 car. The roads are narrow and the trucks are wide. I am looking forward to having her back in the USA. I went to one of the BMW dealers here in Munich and found that the AC Schnityer parts are cheaper stateside. Forgive typos as I am using a german keyboard. Tomorrow we drive to Fussen and see the castles, I hope there is less traffic on saturdays because as of yet not much room for speeding. The stereo is so nice, Logic7 ROCKS! The comfort seats are great and the color Silver Gray is tight. The bumps are muted by the car, but felt slightly. The 545i is the speed demond of it's class. I am enjoying every minute of driving her. Well, look forward to telling u about it more when I return.

If you add a quality sub-woofer (maybe in the trunk) you will approximate the low end of the premium sound package.

I don't think you can add speakers to the existing system b/c of the AMP.
You are only left with gutting the whole thing and getting after-market system. I wouldn't do that unless you want to void your warranty and many other technical problems!!!
