I'll try to take a picture tomorrow.
I don't have NAV or iPod so I may never see the improvements

What should I expect?

They upgraded it because my PDC malfunctioned.
What was wrong with your PDC?

Any chance you could take a picture of your iDrive screen...Lots of folks have been trying to figure out a way to tell if they have gotten the software update...if the screen looks different that might be a way to tell If you could post a pic that would be great!
With mine, the only thing that looks different to me on the main screen is the color. It is now uniformly a silver/gray color. However, I don't know what version I was upgraded from to know if it only changed to the new color scheme with 30.02.

I do not think it is possible to check the software version by the end user. Many 135,335,535 owners are trying to determine which software they have because anything 29.2 or higher will not allow you to tune the motor as liberally. As far as I know the only way to tell would be if there was in fact a change in the graphics/look of the idrive.

Is there a way to find out what version of firmware I have on my car?
