Sorry,
False alarm.
The CD Iwas using was copied from an MP3 file but was burned as an audio file.
I tried it again burning it as MP3 but it would not work.

Iceman, you have been 100% correct on this issue from the beginning, as such I have gone back and read your posts (ok, you changed one ) . Anyway, what I am still not clear about is this (due to the pro radio, non-pro radio, etc)....In September will the US non-logic 7 radio with NAV be able to play MP3?

If you have nav (business OR professional) you HAVE the radio pro. Software update in September will bring the MP3 ability to it.

That's a: YES!

You only see it on certain Sony CDs or mix CDs you burn at your house.
And you only see it in the CD entertainment menu (not on other iDrive screens). You should see it there, regardless of whether you have Nav or not.

My Ride: 2010 E63 AMG -- Palladium Silver/Black. Love this car but looking to switch things up to keep things fresh. 2nd AMG in a row, but toying with coming back into the BMW fold!

Mp3s work well but CD song names still only work with in-dash player, not with CD changer

Are you talking only MP3s or would I-tunes format (aac) work as well. I just tried to burn my I-tunes playlist to a disc and use it on my 545I. No luck. It may be the fact that I was not burning MP-3 specifically.

Any insight??
