I got her detailed today and even though I'm upset about some of the issues I uncovered Oxidation on Wheels, I'm really pleased with how she looks. Just a few pics to share.

thanks freed0m, it's first detailing
jim911, I don't think so. Previous owner didn't live that close to the beach. I do work right on the bay but I'm in a parking garage and that looks like it's been there for a while.

The car looks hot! As for the oxidation, maybe the previous owner let brake dust sit on the rims too long and it adhered to the wheels and started to corrode them. I know this happened with a set of chrome wheels that I had. I'm not sure if the same applies to wheels that aren't chrome, just a guess. I think the best you can do is take them to a wheel shop and have them repaired or live with it.

Heiss5, I think that's exactly what happened. I guess I'll live with it for now and decide to take action if it bothers me in a few months. Thanks for the compliment.. I'm loving it!

Octee you should go to the BMW parts store and order a pair of Euro rear reflectors. They'll look much better then the painted cover ups your 545i came with.

The wheels should be waxed as the car.
