My Ride: 2011 F10 535i, Graphite on Oyster, ///Msport, Executive Package, XDrive
I just received a call from my SA advising me that they have been officially advised by BMW CA on the improved door seals for the E60. I am scheduled to go in next week for the change.
The part numbers they will be using are
51 21 7 057 507
51 21 7 057 508
51 22 7 057 509
51 22 7 057 510
The SB states that the new seals are identified by a yellow dot on the packaging as an inventory control measure. The label on the package also includes the term "EPD and Polyester Flock". This is the change that apparently address the creaking issue. The SB also directs that Carboflo not be used on the new seals.
I will report back once I have them isntalled next Thrusday.

I have the seals on order as well now, but I had to call them about it, they never called me They're still going to cover it under warranty though. Anybody have any updates yet as to whether it works or not? I'm getting tired of bringing my car in to get decreaked.

mine are on backorder here in the Bay Area too...... got the driver's door replaced with the updated seal, the others were out of stock and are on order - and have to come from Germany so it'll be a week or two before they show up. Even having one seal updated has made a difference, hopefully back to how it used to be when the other three show up.

Despite me giving the dealer a copy of the official bulletin http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/bullet...mp/B510205g.htm they managed to change the wrong parts.
They fitted new door rubber seals (part 51217033787 and 51227033795) instead of the ones listed in the service bulletin (I know this becuase the new door rubbers look new and have a date code of April 2005, my car was built Feb 2004! and the flock covered door seals, which should have been changed, look as they did before).
Oh what joy........I feel an intersting call on Monday morning coming on and a return visit (this will be my 6th with a total of 8 days in the dealer) to try and fix this most annoying of problems.
