Update to Progman 25
#1
I just got my 530i back from an update to Progman 25. Here are some details and my initial impression so far:
Target Data Status: E060-07-03-516
I had 24.00 before the update. The measures plan reports programing of the following modules:
SHD (moonroof) to prog. ctrl. mod. 9137056
KBM (basic module) to prog. ctrl. mod. 9151516
SZM (central switch center Module) to prog. ctrl. mod. 9155282
CID (iDrive) to prog. ctrl. mod. 9141807
Since every other module didn't report any software updates I am assuming these were the four patches from 24.xx to 25.xx. Keep in mind that I have no navigation.
As mentioned in earlier posts the iDrive screen didn't change color. It remains the old brownish color. I've also noticed that when changing MP3s it still opens the selection screen even though it has been reported here that this has gone away. I can live with pressing the iDrive twice to change MP3s.
On the positive side, fuel economy has gone up without noticing any performance drop. With the same driving style the computer was showing 29mpg where it used to show 24mpg. I will update you on this as the time passes and I have a better average.
All in all it was a smooth upgrade with no problems and no excitement on new features.

I didn't use any excuse. I walked in and told the SA "I can make an excuse like my iDrive is slow and get a Progman update under warranty but I'd rather be honest and tell you there is nothing wrong with my car an I just want a free CIP upgrade". He laughed and said "Your honesty won you free CIP upgrades for life".
