Uncomfortable seats?

Anyone have problem with the seats in the e60 or is it just me? I have the premium package with leather seats that has the lumbar support (not comfort seats) and I find them very uncomfortable. After sitting through long rides, my lower back starts to hurt. I also find the back seats not very comfortable.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

My Ride: 2007 Titanium Gray 550i, with sport, nav, HUD, Logic7, sat radio, cold weather, rear side airbags, rear seat heaters, and it goes like a bat outta hell!
my 2004 530 had the standard seats, and I thought they were great....now I have the comfort seats and I think they are amazing.....very comfortable.....I love them

I feel your pain (pun intended). I too find my sport seats uncomfortable if driving for long durations. I regret all the time for not having gotten comfort seats. Didn't realize how much a pain in my a$$ the sports seats are...

2004 545i, sports pkg, logic 7 steptronic, rear shade,orient blue with beige interior, blue tooth enabled Razer Phone. 2004 X5 3.0, sports pkg, stepronic, summer pkg. imola red.
2006 Mini Cooper S, manual, sports, prem pkg, nav and kitchen sink.
I hate the seats in my car, lately I finf myself changing adjustments daily to see if I can find a comfortable position. Next car will have comfort seats.

Not that this helps.... But comfort seats rock, not only comfortable but nice support on long drives and you can adjust them for a tight feel when doing a little speeding through the mountains...

It's not so bad, I just got one of these for my office. 30 minutes on this bad boy after driving into work and I'm as good as new.

Comfort seats are addictive! The comfort seats alone give an edge to the 5-series vs. its MB and Audi counterparts (well, that and the amazing driving dynamics 
). Its good to see that the 2007 sport versions have comfort seats as part of the package. 
I can't believe my dealer in Tucson tried hard to talk me out of buying them - next time new dealer. :thumbsdown:
