UK Facelift specs and M5 Touring
#1
I have been forwarded this by a friend who has a new 535d touring on order (for delivery post facelift). Nothing new, but out of interest, it confirms a UK release date for an M5 Touring. I feel sorry for the labradors of Britain!!!

The engine specs are interesting. It's unfortunate that there's no information about the performance of the 535i, which will have the turbo engine and only be available in the States (for now anyway). When I look at the 0-62 times for the 550i published here and consider what the performance times might be for the 535i, the cost/performance gap may be pretty narrow.

Great info skyetripper. Thanks. Good to see a newbie contributing in a big way right out of the blocks!
Man-oh-man that new auto trans must be a nice piece of work ... the 550 is listed as 0.3 seconds faster (0-62 mph) with it!

New to the e60 maybe, but this makes my 8th 5 series - 3x e34, 3x e39 and one e39 M5 (recently departed, sob, sob). It's always good to see so much enthusiasm on these forums, and thanks for the comments

Great info- many thanks.
I have a 520d M-sport on order (Carbon Black with beige cream int) with est delivery on 1st March. I had an inkling about the "facelift" but this is much better than I had feared. It would appear that the 520d engine will not be upgraded to 177bhp and that the M-Sport kit is unchanged aside from the lights. Am I reading this correctly?
