These stats don't account for losses in depreciation. eg like for like 530d vs 530i, diesel sell for much more

big thanks Dav, i will read through all this and try to make sense of it, but briefly is my understanding correct that its more of a matter of re-wiring rather just fitting them as they are and getting them recoded etc? is that about right?? many many thanks

Hi,

let me just say Hi to all the members from UK. nice to have a sub forum for UK members. I am from nottingham.

Just picked the car up last week. Its a 535d. First impression,... excellent although the iDrive and the navigation isn't user friendly. Everything else is just as expected from BMW.

first time in a diesel (giving it a go) and got confused with the type I ought to put into the car. Shell regular? Shell Extra? Shell V-power diesel? biofuels? DIN EN 590? Damn.. just filled it up with Shell extra which was cheaper than tesco diesel and hoped for the best.

Would love to put the M5 side mirrors just for the folding feature but worried the M5 mirrors would not work with my car. Anyone here done it that can confirm the folding feature would work? PM me. thanks

cheers

Not wanting to put you off M5 mirrors, they look great of course, but you don't need them to have the folding feature. I have folding on my regular shape mirrors.

This retrofit is a way fitting xenons without recoding with a bit of rewiring correct.
