Has anyone else seen Shell V-Power Deisel in the UK?

Send, Nr Guildford is the 1st place i've seen with this? Hopefully they are doing a roll out as whilst in Europe i;ve found this a great fuel. But there are varying levels of V-Power. Switzerland and Italy have the best stuff...we will get the same stuff that France has....

In terms of this thread...I find BPU not very good...I use Shell Extra as its cheap and local to me...I get 30mpg average....but thats my driving !

On a side note on a long journey I get 37ish....(80mph)...when I stuck 5 pairs of skis on the Thule roof rack and aero bars I got 25.9mpg doing a steady 80mph to Chamonix and back...heart braking !! Amazing what drag they make....terrible fuel economy...!!

Alex, where precisely is the shell station? I live in Woking, and would be interested to try it out....

For me it depends on what your objective is......mine isn't economy, I didn't buy a 535d for my wallet, I bought it for amongst other things, the amount of torque the engine produced (most of my driving is on motorways - high torque, in gear acceleration & motorways = fun) - I am now actualy choosing diesel cars for performance reasons not economy! My experience with BP Ultimate is that the engine feels to run smoother, quieter and give a tangible performance improvement. My experience is that you need to run through a good 3 to 4 tanks before you properly feel the difference - do this then drop in a tank of standard and see what you think.

All of this is academic if your purpose is economy however..........this test I have not done!

Fuel Economy is not on my mind - Normal Diesel V BPU is - as BP charge a premium for their Ultimate fuel and it did no wonders for me thus this thread to find out what experiences others have had.

I totally agree with you as didn't spend ?45K on this beast to worry about fuel economy

To Austria via Germany either 100+ mph or standstill 38mpg, ( No Roofrack etc)

These cars are real good when going fast.

oh but mine does - do a query against the local area - search under car, then petrol stations, it then allows you to search against a name - key in Shell - BINGO. I did just that last night on the way home looking for a BP station - I just accepted the map display and my lovely Pro Nave took me to the pump!

You saying that's an LCI update or are you using a non-standard DVD in the drive? Interesting
