HI ALL....recently purchased my brothers 535D M Sport Auto... REGISTERED DEC 2004..wow what a machine
....I am in a bit of a dilema.i think the ALLOYS/TYRES could do with an upgrade/change etc...its got the standard alloys which look great(but need refurbishing)and the tyres are 245/40 R18 Y97 all of which have 5/6mm tread left on them.I have been doing a little browsing but not sure what to do...
1.DO I PUT SOME 19" ALLOYS AND WHEELS ON THEM?
2.DO I PUT...FRONT 245/40 R18 W95:REAR 275/35R18 W95 or FRONT 245/35 R19 W93:REAR 275/30 R19 W93.
CAN I PUT 275`s ON THE REAR?
HOW WILL IT AFFECT THE RIDE/HANDLING?
WILL THIS AFFECT MY BMW WARRANTY?
ANY ADVISE/PRICES/GOOD GARAGES WILL BE APPRECIATED...I AM IN THE LANCASHIRE AREA,SO DONT WANT TO TRAVEL TOO FAR FOR THESE UPGRADES...REGARDS....Nad.

Go with the 172s all day long they really do transform the car, the angular lines of the wheels really complement the car well, and the ultra high shine give it the bling it needs to truly round the car off.
I got 245/30/19 on the front and 245/30/19 on the back conti sport they really grip the road and put all that power thru to the road well.
You wouldnt notice a great deal of difference with ride quality but if you did it would be minimal and the overall look of the car will be transformed so you wouldnt care anyway
You should be able to find a nice set of 172s on ebay for decent money

Just get used to your new fine car nadbat.
When the tires are down to some 3 mm get new tires or a new OEM 19" set.
BMW 19" OEM M 172, 166 or 167 wheels and some quality but expensive tires.
Michelin, Dunlop, Bridgestone etc.

Nadbat forget about ride go for the look everytime im guessing you like your speed with a 535 weapon so enjoy it and worry about ride comfort when your 65 in a micra
The combo that you state is the official bmw config, but i like the low profile look of the rubber
Good luck and go for it !!!!!!!!!
