Title says it all really.........

was driving today with the cruise control on, doing around 35mph, speed was steady but I started to feel the car pulsate, I looked at the tacho and I noticed the rpm's going up and down a few hundred rpm in somewhat of a pulse, seemed to clear then do it again etc ???

Might this be related to another problem I had the other week ?>

Was in neutral with the engine ticking over on my drive when the engine felt like it dropped a cylinder, ran really rough for a few moments, I put it in drive and the engine seemed to clear itself, done this a few times ??

Are the two issues related ?

If not, info on either appreciated.

Not sure if it is related, but I had a similar problem when the car first started, it sounded like it was only running on three and wasnt starting first time. Turned out it was if the glow plug control unit which was replaced under warranty. I dont remember it happening when I was moving though.

Thanks, I think my problem is a different one, definately not a glow plug gone down or similar, my best guess atm is fuel pump or injector problems, or something completely diffferent I know nothing about

I read somewhere on these forums about the engine purging the EGR or something every now and then ?? does that give similar symptoms ?

hmm strange, some more testing shows this seems to be a regular things below 40mph - 45mph with CC activated ??

Anyone got some ideas with this please ?? Car drives perfect with CC turned off at any speed ?
