Tyres
Hi
I have a 530D M sport 2006 reg. I have now done 16000 miles and rears down to 3mm or just over. I do not let tyres go down to legal min. I see that it has ContiSportContact1 fitted at rear 275/30/19/Y. I cannot find these tyres although ContiSportContact 2 is available. Do I take it that the 2 is a direct replacement for the 1 being an older model tyre. Any tyre experts out there that can advise. Has anyone in the SE England a tyre supplier who offers good deals.
I have been offered ?243 each fitted. My BMW dealer says they can do a good deal on tyres but havent got a price from them yet. I open to change all four for a different brand on recommendation. Original fitment non run flat. Is it best to stay with Contis?
Advice welcome
Thanks

How much tread left on the fronts?
?243 EACH is a good price! I thought mine at ?160 were expensive. 520d runs more humble tyres and mine are looking to last 45k.......
www.blackcircles.co.uk have them at ?228 fitted locally to you

?243 isn't a bad price... SC2's are the replacement for SC1's. (Indeed the SC3's are available in certain sizes)

Hi
5mm so they are ok. Expected the wear at the rear I suppose. Bi heavey car. I do not throw it around but like to use the acceleration available when I need to so the backs are going to go. I wonder how many miles other get out of there 530Ds?

Thanks for the blackcircles site. Nothing humble about the 520d. I had the use of the 520d as a service car. It was a manual and I thought a nice car to drive. The fuel guage moved slower as well
