Hi all,
Get my new 530d in a few days. I still hesitate about tyres equipment. The car arrived on Bridgestone RF 245/40ZR18 Y. When I read posts about tyres on this forum, I'm wondering if I should ask my BMW dealer to change them for Michelin Pilot Sport PS 2 NON RF ... What do you think ??
I bought rims for the winter (8 X 17'), and I'm looking for Michelin Pilot Alpin in 225/50HR17. It seems they are hard to find (end of current stock). Which other choice would you advise me ??

There were few discussions regarding winter tyre brand selection (particiapted in few myself).
Anyway, in tests I have read on various magazines (local and German ones) it seems that Dunlop Winter Sport 3D is the best performer in 225/50 R17. Very near to it is Goodyear UltraGrip 7. Followed by Pirelli and only then the most expensive Michelin.
Of course, it is up to your own liking, but Michelin is way to expensive and does not have a good value for money ration... Just my opinion
