Hi,

Can anyone please confirm the correct tyre sizes for the fronts and rears for the staggered 19inch upgrade wheels on an E60 - whether they be Style 172 or Style 128's.

Thanks in advance

Reccommended tyre size for 19's - 245/35/19 and 275/30/19

Going for the style 128's - which will see me through the winter and then I'll see whether I want to maybe go for a set of 20's perhaps. I've always liked the concave look of the 128's.

Ideally wanted 172's but can't find a decent set immediately.

The car I have bought has some 19inch M5 reps on but they are not staggered so I need to source some rear tyres I can use on my new rims - looks like I have the tyres sorted now too.

I actually found through first owning 275/30/19s in the rear that 285/30/19s are actually a better match to the 245/35 in the front-they are exactly the same overall diameter whereas the 275 is less of a diamter and you can tell by looking at the sidewal heights which are smaller than the front.

Most brands make the 285

I'll keep that in mind when the 275's need replacing.

Thanks for the quick replies guys!

I have a 04 525i and I would like to put a 19" stock BMW wheel on it. I like the Star Spoke #95 usually on the 754iL and 750. The front calls for a 245/45R19 and the rear 275/40R19, will I have any problems with those tire sizes?

Thanks,

Yes the profiles are too tall for an E60. You would need to go for the 245/35 and 275 or 285/30 as stated above.

To be exact 245/35 19" 93Y ? 275/30 19" 96Y.
The tires should also be with rim protection.

285/30 19" rear is also possible without any notable difference, except the look.

Buy only non-RF tires!!!
