Two Stage Induction System - New on 4.8L

My Ride: 2006 BMW 550i "Ben Hogan's 5 Iron" SilverGrey/Black Sport, L7, NAV, CW, AS, Split FR 2003 Audi A4 3.0 CVT "Part of the Moniker" Silver/Ebony, Prem, CW, Star 17s

The 4.8L has a two stage induction system. Can't find any detail on this. I assume its an advancement. Any help my friends??

Probably a variable length intake manifold... DIVA

BMW calls it Infinitely Variable Induction System. Only seems to feature on 'bigger' V8/12 engines...

The variable length air intake (DIVA) has already been a feature in the 545/645 engine.

It helps lowend power by reduce the volume at low RPM by closing the outer loops and increase air volume at higher RPM for more topend power by openning them, as I understand it.
