I have been told that if a aftermarket part is TUV approved, then it not void the bmw warranty. Is this true? Autovogue (a tuning company) told me that there tuning box is TUV approved so it wont void the warranty.

I think there right because i have Eibach spacers and my warranty has not been void. So is it true or not?

I don't think TUV approval will mean much. There's lots of stuff that's TUV approved, but BMW would not like. Depends on what the productg is, and what TUV approval they claim.

Unless there's a "BMW Spec" which TUV can approve to. Not heard of such a thing, but stranger things have happened.

Add anything to your car thats not BMW approved and it will void that part of your warranty.i.e fit a tuning box and it will void your engine warranty.

The T?V approved only means it is good/legal for German streets and safe.

It doesn't mean the BMW warranty will not be voided...
BMW ONLY decides themselves what doesn't void their warranty...

It will, but the beauty about a tuning box that you can take it off when you take the car to them so they will never know.

They will find out, because the car has that black box and remembers everything...
A tuning box WILL void the warranty. If you want to have tuning on your engine you should find a tuning shop that gives you a warranty. ACS is doing it that way. They give you warranty instead of the BMW warranty...
But that is chip tuning... permanent...
