Was out yesterday and floored it on a nice stretch , during that stretch the LIMIT lamp was lit on instrument cluster. This one is set in navi-> limit...... it was set to 200 kmh. If this is relevant to what happend next I do not know. Because when I was done on the stretch and was continuing on my way , I noticed that motor wasn`t pulling as strong as it should , the turbo did not set in. I tried to accelerate but could only hear hissing/whining sound from the turbo , and no change in acceleration. Drove to a friend of mine and had a chat and drove of 30 min later , everything ok.

Later next day , all ok , then while driving it was gone again , but only for a few sec. Then it was back to normal.

I thought that it might be the LIMIT function that had disconnected the turbo , but that would not make sense for the second time it happend.

The car is a late 2003 E60 530d , got 80 000 km on it , only used high quality Castrol oil , new oil filters every 7000 km .

Any clues to what causes this ??

Am I looking at a large bill soon?
