Oh man, this car is really starting to worry me.

After 72k miles the turbo went yesterday. Good thing is that it happened 3 months before the warranty runs out.
I'm not so sure I want another E60 now. The summary of faults from the BMW system is now 19(!) pages long.

Flowerfred... thats not good news. Have you been giving it full boost most of the time?
Presumably the oil changes have been in line with iDrive?

Service is up to date. It's been driven hard, but always warmed it up properly and let the turbo rev down before switching the engine off.
