Get that thing to the dealer. It sounds like more than just random accidental clicks of the fob.

+1. it happened to me twice before, both while i was at a friend's house. i would be lying down on my stomach with my keys in my pocket. her dad would come home and tell me that my trunk was open, so i guess my keys were pressed accidentally. ever since then i take my keys out of my pocket all the time and either set them down or put them around my neck since i have a lanyard on them.

After the security guard alerted me at work that my trunk was open (my office is close to where I park), I had the dealer reprogram my car so that the trunk can open only if the car is unlocked. So unless I accidentally unlock the car, and then inadvertently press the trunk release, my trunk won't fly open should the trunk release get pressed while the key is in my pocket. I haven't had the issue since.

Don't be afraid to call your dealer when you think something is wrong with your car. Make them work for your money

Maybe your Trunk Monkey went for a walk and forgot to close it?
