Hi guys
I just came back after my first long trip with my car. I have driven 7000 km in 3 weeks so I have almost lived in my car . I have also experienced my first "problems" with my car.

When I was driving on the highway in France, near Dijon I got a check control message telling me "transmission failure", it suggested me to drove moderately. After several seconds the message disappeared and we continued driving as normal. After about 3 kilometers the speedometer went down to
zero and so did the RPM indicator when I was driving about 150 km/h... but I kept on driving and after that I got a new check control telling me that the airbags didn't work. Luckily a gas station appeared and I got in and filled up and restarted the car and that was what it needed. I think it was
just some software error but frankly speaking, the transmission failure in 150 km/h scared me a bit... I had
on autobahn a week before been driving 260 km/h and getting transmission failure in 260 km/h could not be funny in anyway. I post a picture as always of my top speed notations . The dealer will check my car on Monday for a regular service check.

Has anyone experienced the same?

Apart from that I had a wonderful vacation

My second picture shows how the bugs have tasted a big bimmer

Cheers!

Nice! What about Bucharest-Barcelona and back in 5 days? And not in a bmw
Anyway...my question is how did you get 260 on the scale? Is the limiter removed because for some reason i managed 260 exactly on the line (is yours exactly on the 260 mark?) only once when i gave it top speed for the 1st time. Ever since i keep getting the limiter kicking in at exactly 255.

I have not moved the limiter but my external navigation (garmin 360) said that the fastest I had driven was 250,0km/h so I think the speedometer shows 260 you're driving 250.

And yes, it is exaclty 260 on the mark, I have one more picture which i took last year on my the first autobahn trip with the e60 that shows 260.

The Garmin NAV you have probably blows away the BMW NAV and for a fraction of the price.

Sorry, but can't help but notice the 260kph/161mph...

I'm really satisfied with the Garmin. The price for it was about 800 euros and it works perfect. The best thing about is that you can store different POI like speedcameras, I have stored 9200 speedcameras and they are located all around Europe
