Agreed - claybar will do it. I had this happen on my corvette and I was in total panic. A few hours of claybar work (which is EASY) and it was gone. I haven't had the same problem w/my 550 (yet) but I know the cure. The kit will set you back $15, and it is incredible what it does.

Five minutes with regular car wash soap will remove normal leaf sap. No need for wasting time with a clay bar. I had a real sap problem where I used to live, but a normal wash takes it off fine.

As long as you use very warm water and do not let it bake on your car for a few days before trying to remove it, a simple hand-wash will do nicely.

i gave up cleaning off the tree sap and the birds hershey squirtn on my paint daily. i rolled to pepbpys and got a cover. shit is always clean now. keep it right in the trunk. when u park roll it on.

If it's a small spot I'd use WD-40. I've always had good luck with it.
