So you have a hesitation and they're replacing your transmission? I had them do the software upgrade but I still occasionally get the slam going into my driveway (it's really steep).

I am wondering if this "reset" is doing more harm than good. It would be nice to hear from some of the BMW people on the board what heir take is on this subject, if possible.

Ok my question is this: Isn't the transmission supposed to adapt to the way the driver drives? It seems that many people reset their transmissions because it gets rough after a while. Isn't it supposed to be the opposite?. Isn't it supposed to get better and smoother as time goes by? It seems as though the factory specs are better than the altered specs once the vehicle has been driven for a while.
And I agree with porsche911targa, are we doing more harm than good?
I think this adaptive transmission is rubbish because I drive differently every day. Some days I drive fast others I drive semi fast sometimes snappy and quick sometimes slow and turtle like.

My Ride: '04 530d Executive, all options except sunroof and comfort seats
ECU remapped by ZipTuning to 260+bhp.
Tried it last week, no click, no noise, no nothing, but what a difference.
When i want it to shift agressive, it shifts agressive and when i want smooth cruising, it does that. No more rough shifts, no more "holding out" to shift when flooring it.
