I dunno, I tried it on my 08 and I think I heard something click, but I never really paid attention afterwards to see if anything had changed. I've done it several times now so...

Of all the times I've performed this, I don't think I EVER heard a click or anything, but the results were there afterward!

can someone please repost the thread that outlined the reset trick. I have searched with many different word combos and cant find it on this forum. Also, can I do this for my SMG transmission or is it not possible?

Thanks

Just tried it and no noise or any sign of any changes. Haven't driven it yet though so dont know for sure. Is this possible for the SMG transmissions?

I tried in on my 05 545 and it worked and I heard a clicking sound too. It made a big difference in the transmission. I still have a hesitation in the transmission so they are replacing the trans next week.

Thanks for the help.

So you have a hesitation and they're replacing your transmission? I had them do the software upgrade but I still occasionally get the slam going into my driveway (it's really steep).
