Over the past week or so, I've noticed that my transmission has been cuasing my engine to hold a high RPM when it should not. This has happened both in DS and D. For example, in D if I get on it a tad and then back off the engine RPM hold at 3500+ even without me pressing on the accelerator (not highway speeds). After 5 sec or so, it will finally shift and the RPM drop. I don't think that this is normal, so has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

thx

I have it happens when you are going to gun it and then change your mind, step on it hard then let off almost instantly and the revs shoot up and stay for 5 secs or so and then back to calm. Not sure if this is right or not but it does happen.

Try resetting the tranny settings. If you do a search on the forum you will find out how.
