thread will be updated until i fix the problem.
i spoke to a tech who rebuilds the valve bodies, he said if the car is driving normally when its cold and then starts acting up when warmed up then its probably the valve body. Today i tried to move the car a few feet to see if anything changed and it drove good in first for a few feet but now reverse was slipping and i couldn't back up.
so i was supposed to tow my car to a shop today but the guy didnt want to have my car in his shop while we wait for my valve body to be rebuilt and shipped back. he said next week, but i dont want to wait another week to start work on the car.
i found a website, Europeantransmissions and..., they will send me a new valve body for my car with a $950 core charge. i will call them tomorrow and see if they have one for me. they are on the east coast and closed for the day already.

hey guys, i need more help.
I cant seem to find a place that can send me out a valve body and i can do a core charge, send mine back after i replace it.
I guess my next choice is to get a used tranny.
i found one with 81k miles for $1450 with free shipping. Yay or nay?
I can then take my time and rebuild the valve body in my broken tranny.
need my car back in working order asap, i am renting a Fiat 500 at the moment.

appreciate all the help!!
what if i dont change the EGS? I think they want another 5hrs of labor to do that, on top of the 6.6 hours for the trans removal and install.
I will do some research over this side of the world for you about the valve body
But after replacing the trans why still repair the old one?
Its been a bit of a long dranma for you but I hope you will be back on the rode soon
driving a Fiat for that long would kill me!

Do it yourself. Just remove the valve body from both gearboxes, and swap your EGS onto the newer valve body. That way no programming is required, and you can take that opportunity to replace the four sealing sleeves, bridge seal, and Mechatronic sealing sleeve.
