Default Transmission help please!

Let me make this short I was headed west on i10 stranded in the middle of the night (@12) in Phoenix. My car (08 550i) started to runs funny so I pulled over and started checking everything, come to find out my atf was low. End up having to go to Walmart and ended up getting ( castro transmax import multi vehicle aft) last choice. It drove fine afterwards and when I got to Hercules Cali it started delaying on shifting gears. I'm planning to bring it in asap to the dealer, but what do you guys think is the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

If you bring it to the dealer they're going to tell you to replace the transmission.

You're better off taking it to an independent shop, preferably a German auto shop that can do transmission work.

Kwazigoku, Are you sure you put in tranny fluid? There is no transmission dip stick. You have to remove the under-shield and the transmission filler plug. The procedure for adding it calls for monitoring the transmission fluid temperature.

I don't think you need our help. It sounds like you have the problem well in hand.

I'd start by replacing your thermomulator, johnson rod, and center muffler bearings.

Sorry guys been busy at work. But I checked the dipstick at the gas station and that's where I filled it too when I went to Walmart to buy the atf unless I put it in the oil dipstick?

you put trans fluid in the engine oil. i'd change the oil asap.
the only way to fill the trans is to lift the car, and remove the plug on the side of trans, while engine is running. fill to hole.
