i have a 07 550i.. with 143k miles on it and in the past week at take off my car is staying in 1st gear too long and the tac needle goes up to 3 and holds for about 6 aeconds and 2nd isnt very fluid either. once i get to 3rd the car is good. i jad aa complete tranny service march 2015. the indy shop i went to drove the car around the block and said its new tranny time. he didnt mention any codes so im gonna gonto another shop. kyle b can you slap me around a lil on this.

First step is going to be retrieve fault codes, I'd be leary of someone that condemns a transmission based on a 30 second test drive, it's just not that black and white any longer.

jax just got rain but it stopped a while ago. we have the wind comimg thru now. some people lost power. anyway yes im gonna get to a indy shop that deals with bmw.

When I was under my car to replace the CPS, I had a look at the mechatronics connector and it was dry, so I left it alone. I've read that when they leak you can see evidence on the connecor housing. I chose not to R&R the connector and avoid disturbing the seal. At 200,000km, my box still works just fine.
