So when is the good time to reset it once the car starts to know your style way to much?

My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.
I first read about the tranny reset procedure around September '07. It really worked but I couldn't describe what changed.
I got in the habit of doing it perhaps once every five or four weeks and was always pleased at the result.
About a month ago I re-read the procedure and was amazed to find that I was supposed to "hold down the throttle pedal" for twenty five seconds.
There is no telling how long I have ignored that part of the procedure and it still worked wonders.
I wish this would have been someone else who told this story on himself!

"Try using the transmission reset trick. You can use the search bar for more threads....
Basically you put the key in the ignition, push the start button without stepping on the brakes.
Hold down the gas pedal for 30 seconds and the transmission resets.
Start the car and the car will 're-learn' your driving style/habbits."
When I push the start button, do I let go or keep it pressed down?
