havent been on here in a long time, but recently i noticed a small tranny leak on my garage floor. i checked it out and it seemed to be coming from the tranny pan and mechatronic sleeve. i replaced both and 2 days later there was the fluid on the floor again. i lifted it up again and the pan and mechatronic sleeve were both dry. it looked to be coming from some sort of electronic casing mounted right where the tranny and engine bolt together. is there some sort of seal behind this electronic box or is it the rear main seal. i highly doubt that its the rear main seal cuz usually when that goes engine oil would be leaking out. does anyone have any clue what this could be or have experienced the same scenario. btw its anh 04 545 with 130 000 k on it. your help is ver much appreciated. thnx

I had mine in for the mech sleave, then they kinked the gasket and i had a garage full of fluid. If you google the mech sleave diagram, you can learn alot about the entire portion of the transmission so if you do have to take it in you go in with an idea of whats what.

take a look on top where the rubber gasket leading into the transmission...had a minor leak thought it was the pan gasket itself but it turned out to be on top. I forgot what it's called. I'll look for the part name and # later for you if needed
