My Ride: "Angel I's" 2005 525i Debadged, Remote Homelink, Full Burl Package, Cold Weather PKG, Premium Sound PKG, BMW Wheel Stems, Biege Rubba Matz, EURO Tag, Dual Zone Vents, Automatic Car Ventilation, Rescue Kit. Due up: Aux Input, TINT, and K&N Filter and some Zaino LOVE for my Angel.
I went to a Benz dealership hoping to see the NEW E Class, but it's not available til 09. While there I saw the CLS500/550. I went back to see if it was possible to get into the vehicle, but it's NOt happenin'. Not totally because of finances, but it just doesn't have the features that the 5 has. No Bluetooth, no AUX input and if you want to get the bluetooth you have to buy the adapter as well as the iPOD input. So there sat a E55 2003 with 39K on it for 49K. It was pretty HOT with the panoramic roof and that POWER. Keyless entry, and you start the car from the shift knob, actually on top of the knob.
There was a 100buck deposit on the car BUT they have to honor it til Monday I guess. They want to give me a wholesale price for my whip................30 at the MOST. Thinking bout it, but doubt I'll do the deal. There's a 10K difference on the number and I'm NOT givin up that kind of loot for a E55 AMG..................I think.
Has some nice features but no toys, except the seats.WOW!!! Massage and at least 20 points of comfort. Just thought I would share.........BUT.....what would you do?

YESSSSS That E55 was CRAZY!! That's the ONLY Benz I would buy with confidence. Itest drove a ML500...garba'ge! Then I drove a CLK-500...NICE, but WHERE are the options.or standard toyz? I'm ready to upgrade the Bimma, for a year or 2 then it's on to something next...

So it seems to me that you are lured by the (I admit) awesome power of the AMG. And the seats......But what about throwing it through a few twisties before you commit to being a traitor..? You mentioned that it is missing some nice ammenities.....and Mercs have some electrical "issues" as well. I drove an SL55 from San Fran to San Diego along the coast a few years back....hell of an experience, but for me, I would not own one. Just not "me". So the question I suppose is, are you BMW? Or are you Mercedes?
