My Ride: 2013 535i (White with Oyster Interior. Premium Package, Navigation, Technology Pacakge, Park Distance Control, and Rear View Camera)
I think it's possiable from the current equipments installed in the car. Of course with software upgrade and services fees.
But I don't think BMW will provide such service to current e60 owners. They will probably have this option on e60 to attract new customer in the future.

There is a data feed for the major cities which I think comes from Sirius via Satellite. BMW would need at least major software changes and likely Navtech & hardware changes to make this happen. I would expect it in 3-6 years.
