After changing my mind many times about a 530xi I had on order - SG/Black then SG/Auburn then Monaco Blue Auburn - add equipment / take out equipment
- and then finding out that my brand new 06 would be last year's model in less than a month after delivery - I called the dealer changed the order and got the 650i Conv - Titanium Silver/Black/Black - cold weather/Sport/Sat/L7/ - I LOVE IT -
the car has amazing power - great ride and it is just a pleasure - saw it and did not doubt a second about - Sometime you just got to do something else - and I am not regrettng it !!!
Thanks for all the info here - It is amazing how much I learned about everything related to the E60 here - a truly incredible source.
Ah and dealt with BMW of Manhattan - not the best reputation - but my Sales Advisor was a true pleasure to work with down to delivery and follow up
Thanks again to all ...

great ride mate. Is it an automatic car ?
It is an automatic - and granted still in the break-in period so haven't really pushed it - I have been driving around mostly in D for now - and have not noticed what Osama mentions. Like most new automatics with several gears, while in-town traffic and sudden release of accelerator it does seem to hunt for the right gear but I would say mostly cause of feathering of the pedal than a confused transmssion.
So far it is an impressive smooth and powerfull ride
