So while my 550 was in for service the other day, I decided to waste time by walking through the For Sale lot. Huge mistake, as I stumbled on a '07 M6 with only 35k miles on the odo.
It is Sapphire Black with a carbon fiber roof, and black interior. It is in mint condition with one small door ding on the rear fender arch, which is all I could find.
2 things I don't like.....not CPO, but is covered under factory warranty until Dec. It passed CPO, but I guess it costs too much to CPO a M6? That's what the salesman said anyways. There are options for extended warranties through BMW, so there are options it looks like.
Second thing I don't like is they low balled me big time on my 550. Offered $17,300 for it....makes me sick, because I know they'll turn right around and list it for $25k+ I have no idea what KBB says.....I'm about to look.
Other than that...it is flip'in sweet!
Now for the big questions.....is there anything to be cautioned with with a M6? Any issues with them, etc?
My wife is on board, so we may pull the trigger, unless I get some negative feedback here. The dealer is closed tomorrow, so we have a day to decide.
Thanks for any feedback

If the deal works - and if I were you I'd see if I could get the M6 CPO'd and the trade-in on your car increased as part of the negotiations - that M6 is a significant upgrade. I'd certainly be interested to learn why the car was not CPO'd and I'd probably think about getting a pre-purchase inspection done.

Dont do it! The m6 is fast, but for me, my 550i is fast enough but that is after a bunch of mods. The gas mileage will tear you apart on the M6 and ofcorse other factors like insurance etc. Not to mention getting 17k is ridiculous.
