There are only a handfull of people on this forum that hit up the tracks...Try asking on E90Post.com or M3Post.com....maybe even E46Fanatics.com (That site is full of douchebags though...it would be my last choice.)
There are a lot more track addicted people over on those sites

I haven't used it yet, but I'm planning on purchasing some for a 2 day track event at the end of the month.

I have been to the track a few times. I have never used it. I have heard of it though. Of the events I have gone to, I have yet to meet anyone that used/uses it. I dont think it's a bad idea though. You never know what could happen.

No experience for me. I got a quote and it was pretty steeep (the cost of the DE)

If you are just going to Driver Education (not a time event), regular insurance usually covers.

Went to DE every other month before w/o buying track insurance.

One thing I know:
The chance of you hitting/ran over/flipping your car at the track during DE is way less than driving on public road if you are at beginner level to intermediate (w/ instructor in car)

Once you are able to go solo (advance) then it's another story

haha good stuff I will take a look - I think I might not need it... This track event is Driving School at NHMS in May now that I read the other posts on this topic....

The insurance quote I got for the day was approximately $231 for $35,000 coverage... deductible i think was 2k
