Some thoughts?
Any power braking at the line or just nailing it on the green? Did you manual shift?

I wanted to do runs with power braking. With DSC/DTC enabled, it's kinda of hard to spin the tires and drop the brake. I did all of my runs in DS mode...no manual shift. Mind you, this is my first time ever going to a track, racing off the line, etc. In fact, on my first run, my reaction time was 1.954...I heard tires squealing to the left of me and I just mashed on the pedal.

Yea, I just wanted to see what kind of numbers my car will do pre-mods and post-mods. Just a safer way to gauge the performance gains, as opposed to finding a stretch of highway to do these kinds of tests.

That's awesome...reminds me of high school days when Orange County International Raceway had weekly bracket racing...now that area is a bunch of industrial buildings!

Yes.

I know it's only been one day, but I've already forgotten how it felt as stock to have that lag in the acceleration. There is negligible lag time with the SB, whether at low speeds or high(way) speeds. One of the good things about the SB is that I can effortlessly pass up other cars when I want to change lanes on the highway (as if our stock 535i's weren't effortless enough). The bad thing about the SB? My MPG has steadily been going down...it's just too much fun to have that instant throttle response from the car.

NICE! I need to go to Fontana, CA and do a 1/4 time as well.

We should set up a meet/track day see if we can get a group deal or even put up some money to reserve it just for us.......

not too shabby. keep tire pressure at stock levels and dont do a burn out go around and keep the car ON moments before you stage say like 4 car before its you're turn that will let you get the car to Normal Operating temps. Remember all stock cars are made to run hot, also leave DSC on other than that it is what it is meaning for a 4,000+lb 4 dr sedan..What has a V8 550 545 done stock in a 1/4mile?

In the end you had fun and thats the best part!

Nice R/T! The 60' time is not bad either considering on RFT Tires. With better tires, you should hook a lot better therefore reducing your E/T. I would have imagined a higher Trap Speed though
His trap speed and e/t seem accurate. The fact that his car spins out before it hooks is testament to how powerful the engine is when you look at his time. He just needs to work on his launch.

how is your acceleration from a dig? does it get jerky since the throttle response is more sensitive? i know you need to have a soft foot in order to accelerate smoother. this SB is starting to grow on me. thanks for sharing!

BTW, where did you purchase this and how much?

Acceleration is great, whether from complete stop or roll, pretty much instantaneous response from our engines without any noticeable lag. The throttle response is better but I wouldn't necessarily say that it's more "sensitive". I can make it jerky if I really punch it, but it's just as easy to make a smooth acceleration. Really the only difference with my foot wasn't the softness per say but the distance I had to push with my foot.

I purchased it from Andy during the group buy. I think it was like $240.
