Have you tried searching TPMS sensor issues? Most likely, one (or more) of the TPMS sensors need to be replaced - that's all.

Also if you have the TPMS ( 07 and newer) are you using Aftermarket / non BMW sensors...

There have been a rash of issues with ones people have bought say over the past 6 months from Tirerack even though they are made by the same people that make the BMW ones ( the co starts with B, ) .

The sensors do go bad from time to time and you may need a new Batt...

if your car has the TPS , check for bad ABS sensors...

at this point the mechanic is trying to diagnose and is trying to change those to see if that will free up my TPM monitor that is tuck on reset but its hard to tell.
