www.bavarianx.com in Brea Cali. is where I purchased the wheels. I searched bavauto.com and saw what the TPM kit consists of. I'm pretty sure they are installed. I'll try to take a pic. If I can't figure out this problem with BavarianX I may just take it to the dealer this week. Thanks for the info and I'll try to get that pic. Just gotta figure out how to upload off my phone.

 

one more thing. When you reset the tpm sensors, were you parked or driving? They won't work unless the wheels are in motion.

 

He knows that part.....already asked him that in a PM. Check your valve stems first off, as suggested above. If they aren't metal, then you don't have TPMS installed. If they are, one of them (or more) isn't working.

And, yes, they should automatically be recognized by the car....nothing fancy to program on your part. My old CSL's worked perfectly when I got them.

 

They appear to be metal to me. Maybe they were damaged during transportation. I'll take it to someone tomorrow. To check if they are damaged do I have to take the tires off of the wheels?

This sucks maybe I should just deal with the light

 

Contact the folks you bought them from. See what they have to offer. I would get them fixed rather than stare at the warning symbol forever. You'd have to remove the tires to get to them, but maybe there's an external signal device BMW uses to detect if the TPMS is working or not, while still in the tire....so as not to have to remove them one by one.

I know this might be a pain, but you might want to try putting on your old rims to rule out something wrong with the car and not your new wheels. I know it would be a strange coincidence, but if you read some of the old threads concerning this, many report it's due to condensation in the trunk where the sensors are located.

 

Yes I read those threads. I looked in my trunk where the spare would be (if i had one) and it was totally dry. Was I looking in the right spot?

 

I have no idea where to look. Can you take a picture of the warning you are getting in your iDrive and dash, and post them here? I am curious as to what the error looks like and how it reads....and in the TPMS section of the iDrive.
