tpm malfunction 08 535i

was sitting in my car in a parking lot and all of a sudden it just popped up on the screen,tpm malfunction. why would it do this? i dont really have time to take my brand new $60000+ car to the shop.starting to get pissed off.

This is not low pressure warning since I checked the tires and they are within .5PSI of the recomended PSI limits.
I took it to dealer and told my SA that it maybe the receiver module in the car, not the 4 wireless module inside the wheels (what the chance of all 4 gone bad right).
Sure enough it was the reciever end not recognizing the sender modules, dealer replaced part, drove my car and it's good now.
Your dealer should be able to test it unless it's intermittent. Mine was always triggered after about 15-20 minute drives in warm day.
