Heck, I seen a low mileage 550 trans on[sup][/sup] eBay awhile ago for less than 1k.

04-05 545 used motor with high mileage can generally go for 4.500, low mileage can go for 6-7k. the whole transmission can go for as low as 1.700-3.500,NOT including labor ofcourse . 530i owners dont get any ideas !

They prolly got the low ball pricing (over the phone) from the Sanford and Son junkyard? See they laughing for people thinking they gonna get the parts for cheap.

first off, you need to check your state's law regarding buyback. i know in illinois, the car has to be 9 years old to be eligible for buyback. this law is to prevent crooks from stripping a car, collecting insurance money, buying it back, then reassemble with the same stolen parts.
