I don't think the 2008 M5 mirrors will work with you car, I think its a different wiring set-up
Hi 'ImSort0fABigDeal,
Thanks, and I thought the very same thing, (because I know the newer M5 e60's have auto folding on some, and that's one thing I don't have is the auto fold, but I do have the Auto dimming, heating, memory, curb lights, etc), But my BMW dealer is using my VIN # to coordinate the new 2008 BMW OEM E60 M5 mirrors, with the same factory settings and functions as with my stock mirrors, to make sure everything is the same and will work BMW OEM right, so hopefully my new M5 Mirrors with blue tinted glass, and its electronics will not "Shake", "Rattle" and "Roll" my mirror glass on me going down the interstate going to work in the mornings!
Have a good day!!

No that's not the main concern, on the side view mirrors all E60 produced before Sep. 2005 uses 3 plugs w/ many wires which include your model year while anything after that uses one single plug w/ only 3 wires. So you can mount the mirror but nowhere to plug the connectors.
Rumor has it LCI model (which seems to be the year of your M5 mirror) uses a single plug with 4 wires.
I would go back and check w/ the dealer regarding the wiring just to be safe, I bet they probably clueless that a lot of things changed before/after Sep. 2005 on 5-series.

Hey 'BlaSTiWi',
Thanks I did not know this 4 wire thing!! I will pick them up tomorrow at my dealer and show him this you wrote me, and if they dont work I wont accept the order and get a full refund as we both agreed upon when I oredered them from my BMW Dealer.

Like we learned in another thread that Eddie started. He lives above a meth lab. This explains the now $13,000.00 he's invested in his pseudo M5 project. Eddie, I still say part out your mods, sell your car and buy an M5 already. We're bordering the bizarre at this point. You'll probably be ahead of the game with all of the borrowed money you're spending.

Eddie needs to shop around a little more... everything he buys is SOOOO expensive...
theres a group buy going on right now for M5 mirrors for abour $1000..... either he really does live above a meth lab, is an impulse buyer or has $100 dollar bills comming out of his @ss!
either way, shop around get pricing!
