Did the long drive at high limits, did all on / off ramps at max rev, and did some twisties.
I was doing my REAL ROAD test, because the dealership road test was not even average for a 500i.(E60). I needed to stand on it, so I got my chance. No cars on the road. What is the yellow light that pops up on the dash above mileage when your shifting up to only 4000-4500 rpms? I believe it was 3rd or 4th when the Yellow light popped up. Its my first time for the N62 V8. Thanks Dan

Sounds like that might have been the traction control light coming on.

I wouldn't think it will have anything to do with your RPMs but rather your stance and cornering. In my E85 I take some ramps at 100MPH and I get the DSC growling and grabbing breaks but when I do it with the E60 I don't. If it was your DSC you will noticeably hear it. A very loud humming. But you really should try to find the light in either google search or owners manual and post it up if you want a definite answer.

Looked in the Owners Manual. There is no indication of a warning "DOT" shaped Orange/Brown light shown in Instrument panel? Thought he DSC/DTC was a semi Circle with a Triangle in the center! That's what is shown in the Manual.
